Formula

Formula is significantly different to breast milk and is an alternative when you can’t or don’t want to breastfeed your child (any longer). Investigate the differences between formula and breast milk in-depth before you start using formula, so that you will make a well-considered choice. Consider the differences in nutritional make-up as well as the differences in the development of healthy gut flora and good health for your child and for yourself.

Brand
There are many different brands on the market. Choose the one which you consider the best. Should there be a family history of allergies, it could be wise to opt for hypoallergenic formula.

Bottle
There are also many types of bottles on the market. Choose the one which you consider the best. In the first week after delivery, you can sometimes try switching bottles. Often you will have to try a few bottles before finding one that suits your child’s drinking style.
